Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Eugene customers love the powerful new engines that you can find under the hoods of the new cars on our showroom floor. Today we'd like to discuss two of Chrysler's engines, one of which you've probably already test driven and the other, has yet to be produced.
The first is the Tiger Shark. Back in May of 2010, engineers got the go ahead to start work on this powerful part. After 95 weeks of research, testing, and hard work, they had the final product. Today, you can find two different Tiger Shark engines in new vehicles, sized at 2.0-liters and 2.4-liters.
At the time, the Tiger Shark was considered a feat of engineering, but time proves that bigger and better engines can always be made. This is where the Hurricane comes in.
The American automaker has been very quiet about the work that it's doing on the Hurricane, but now enough information has been leaked that experts can piece together something about it. It's based off of the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Tiger Shark that we mentioned above, but will a much higher amount of both horsepower and torque.
As we said, we don't know much yet, but we're incredibly excited to see what comes. We can expect to see it in our 2016 new model lineup, but if you have questions about it beforehand, contact our Eugene, OR dealership and we'll see if we can answer it for you.
