The trick thing about "all-season tires" is the insinuation that they are for ALL seasons. Even hard winters in Oregon. And, they can be! When properly fitted to a vehicle with All-Wheel or 4-Wheel Drive, like the powerful and award-winning 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, all-season tires can be enough to get you around safely.
But did you know that in stopping and overall handling tests, two-wheel-drive cars with winter tires outperformed all-wheel-drive cars with all-season tires? That's because winter tires are specially designed to work specifically in the colder temperatures, whereas all-season tires need to be able to handle a wider range of temperatures.
Check out this great video highlighting the big differences between the two types of tires!
