Thanks to a recent post on our Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Of Eugene blog drivers already know that the 2014 Cherokee is here. But it isn't just local traffic that's caught on.
It seems as though motorists around the country have heard the message loud and clear as the all-new crossover has almost outsold the iconic Jeep Wrangler in its short time on the road. As a matter of fact, in its first full month of sales the Jeep Cherokee delivered over 10,000 unites. To put that into perspective, the Wrangler clocked in at 11,753 deliveries in November.
Although we've also noticed a strong month in December, this early on we can't be sure of the official numbers here or across the country. That being said, we can tell you that Jeep brand bosses are ramping up production moving into the new year. We've heard reports that the Toledo plant that assembles the Cherokee is gearing up to produce 250,000 units in 2014. They'll need to add about 1,000 more positions in order to do meet those projections, too, so we'd say that the demand is there in full force.
To get a feel for what's shaking things up for yourself, stop by our showroom. You can get an up close view of the model while our sales team details the impressive fuel economy figures and discusses its range of capabilities. Plus, we can set you up behind the wheel so that you can head out on a spin around town.
