Have you ever dreamed of what it would be like to be driven by your car itself? Google has. To start, the tech-giant is building prototype vehicles designed to make is easier and safer for everyone to get around. The testing fleet includes modified models and new prototype vehicles, like the Chrysler Pacifica thanks to a recent co-development agreement with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
The software giant's first-of-its-kind collaboration will involve an integration of its self-driving technology into the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. “The opportunity to work closely with FCA engineers will accelerate our efforts to develop a fully self-driving car that will make our roads safer and bring everyday destinations within reach for those who cannot drive," John Krafcick, chief executive of Google's Self-Driving Car Project said in a report. Google's self-driving car team will test the Pacifica's in Google before they make it to the road.
