When a global consumer advice and ranking authority pays one's auto offerings significant mind for quality and value alike, it says something. Awards were given on the basis of five-year total cost of vehicle ownership and average vehicle price at time of award, and neither vehicle could disappoint. 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, built to impress the minivan segment, was a showcase of "functionality, versatility, technology and bold styling," having been "re-engineered from the ground up on an all-new platform," with gas and hybrid powertrain options (the latter of which achieves up to 84 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) in electric-only mode and 33 miles of all-electric range), offering more than 100 available safety and security features, an all-new Uconnect Theater rear seat entertainment system, and a host of creature comforts and convenience-tech perks to appeal to road-trippers and families alike.

FIAT 124 Spider received accolades for its sports car-performance combination of "agility, [overall] capability, interior quality, and affordability," offering "classic, iconic Italian styling" replete with tech and safety features to wow the roadster segment. Standard in Classica and Lusso iterations is a hard-charging 160-horsepower, 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine delivering 184 lb.-ft. of torque, as well as rear-wheel drive, double-wishbone front and rear multi-link suspension with stabilizer bars, and tuned electric-power steering for handling that brings home the racer experience. 164 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque is standard on the Abarth trim, and it's available with six-speed manual transmission offering 26 mpg city/35 mpg highway fuel economy, or a six-speed auto transmission boasting 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway to go the extra mile. Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection and ParkView rear backup camera, passive entry with keyless go, Bluetooth, heated seats, and FIAT Connect capability with Pandora, Stitcher and Aha app access come optional, keeping personalization possibilities at your fingertips.
